Opening Times
Our office opening times are Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 1pm. However the building will be open for the classes/workshops as advertised in our What’s On section.
How to find us
Havelock Community Centre is on 324 Fawcett Road. We are situated just off Albert Road, Southsea, Portsmouth. If you look for the Tesco Express on Albert Road, we are just to the left, around the corner, tucked behind the Bold Forrester pub.
A number 2 bus will drop you nearest to the centre on Albert Road.
Parking
We have a small car park with 5 spaces and 1 disabled bay, there is also disabled parking available outside the centre. There are residents only parking restrictions around the centre between 5pm-7pm. Visitor Parking scratch cards are available for £1.15 from the office.
Accessibility
- The Havelock is fully accessible with a ramp pathway and steps. You can get in via a press button automatic door. (Please step back and don’t pull the door)
- A buzzer/speaker phone is available to contact specific rooms as required.
- There is a small lift.
- Toilets are available on both floors, with a disabled toilet and baby change facilities on the ground floor.
- All rooms have a hearing loop system for the hard of hearing, please request if needed.
Support Box
In our reception you will find our ‘Support Box’. This initiative in our community space provides valuable resources for all those in need. Functioning with the ethos as ‘Give you you can, take what you need’. This is a fluid donation box with all manner of items available including hygiene products, books and puzzles, sundry items and more throughout the year. We are lucky to have been pledged support by some local businesses and have had generous support from our users to the Support Box. If you would like to make a donation to the box please visit us in reception during our office opening hours to facilitate your donation. The Support Box remains open Monday-Friday during the centre hours for all to use.

How do I book onto an activity or group?
We host a variety of groups for all ages and interests, please contact the office@havelockcc.co.uk if you would like further information about a specific activity or group.
Is WIFI available at Havelock Community Centre?
Wifi is available in all our rooms for public use, details can be found on our noticeboard in the centre or ask a member of the Office team and we will be happy to provide them for you.
Can I hire a room?
We have a variety of rooms available to hire throughout the year, please check our Room & Hall Hire to see if our current availability is suitable for your event and then contact us on office@havelockcc.co.uk to proceed with your booking.

Can I volunteer at Havelock Community Centre?
As a not-for-profit we rely on our amazing, generous volunteers to assist us with the running of the centre and it’s activities, for more information about our current roles available and an application form, please contact manager@havelockcc.co.uk.

Do you have a card machine?
Yes, the centre does have a card machine, we also accept Cash and BACS if you require any more information please contact office@havelokccc.co.uk.
Do you have conferencing facilities?
Unfortunately the centre does not have conferencing facilities at this time. We are happy for hirers to bring their own equipment to use during their event provided the equipment has been adequately PAT tested and is deemed fit for purpose in line with our H&S policy.
