The Iyengar method differs from other methods of yoga primarily in three ways: precision, alignment and props, for example blocks, belts, bolsters, ropes, back-benders and chairs amongst others. These props allow the student to progress to attaining a semblance of the ‘Classic postures’ as set out in ‘Light on Yoga’ as well as other texts.
The class is run by a qualified and experienced yoga teacher. in a friendly but professional atmosphere with feedback from students encouraged.
